THE ZARAX ASSOCIATION IS A CULTURAL ASSOCIATION BASED
IN SYDNEY, COMPRISED
OF MEMBERS HAILING FROM
THE ZARAKA REGION IN
LAKONIA, GREECE
THE ZARAX ASSOCIATION
The Zarax Cultural Centre is home to almost all events held by Zarax Association. The hall is also used to hold Zarax Association and Laconian Federation meetings and is occasionally hired out for other purposes such as christenings, birthday parties and memorial services. Regular Zarax Association events include an annual Apokriatiko (Easter Carnival) Dance, an annual Mothers' Day Lunch, an annual formal dance, a New Year's Eve dance and regular afternoon teas on the first Sunday of every month. Staging cultural and other non-regular events to engage the Greek community is an important function of the Zarax Cultural Centre.
